2 Rising Lines II
L. 1200cm W.60cm Top H. 120cm
Currently on show at the Clandonald Lands Trust gardens.
This new sculpture was part of SCALE- an exhibition of sculptural work during the Summer set up by ATLAS.
This work was inspired by work I have been making in Libya in the desert but specific to the site in which it is situated.
2 rising lines made from white marble from the local quarry in Torrin, Skye, using the dry stone walling method. The two works create a dialogue and tension between one another, and in direct contrast to the upright forms of the trees. The marble creates a natural luminosity in this dark wooded area full of shadow.
